My first encounter with roadrunner cactus they did not even charge me. They provided a free 2nd opinion for me because another overzealous , money hungry, unethical cactus and tree removal company told me to cut all our saguaro in our backyard down. I love our saguaro and I know they are Protected so I got a 2nd opinion from roadrunner who said they only agreed with cutting 1 out of the 5 saguaros. I was happy to hear that 4 were healthy and I am glad I sought out a 2nd opinion . A year later, I remembered my good experience with them and hired them to provide another opinion on a leaning cactus in our front yard. Once again they saved the day by offering a saguaro straightening option rather than cutting down the saguaro. Josh and Meagan, proprietors of Roadrunner Cactus, are fabulous to work with. I first contacted them 3 years ago to address an issue with my saguaro. They responded immediately and addressed my problem. Sadly a few weeks ago the same cactus developed bacterial narcosis and had to be taken down. Once again they worked with me to get it removed and replaced with another cactus. Their communication is fabulous and response times could not be any better. I received a quote from Roadrunner Cactus to have a Cardon cactus straightened. The quote was 1/3 of another local competitor. The other competitor could not explain why their cost was so much higher, so I decided, very quickly, to have the work done. Josh was responsive, explained the work and the cost of the project, had great communication and came out with his worker on time. This is the first of two reviews for Roadrunner Cactus; I plan to add another one after the cactus straightening process has been completed. I contacted Roadrunner Cactus and spoke with Megan. She asked me to explain the situation with our saguaro (about 30 years old and 20 feet tall - it started leaning in the last couple of months) and what we were hoping to do. I sent pictures and she called me back promptly and described the proposed solution and cost. I agreed to move forward. Josh and another gentlemen arrived on time on the scheduled day. After a short conversation, they worked for about an hour (as Josh expected) wrapping the stem in carpet, placing a tow strap, two ratchets, and two wooden posts opposite the lean. Josh explained the monthly process of tightening the ratchets to slowly straighten the cactus. He said that if I had any questions or needed any help, I could give him a call. Megan, Josh, and my engagement with Roadrunner Cactus has been excellent A++++ so far. I'll add an update when the straightening process is complete.
They provided excellent service. They were very knowledgeable in the transplanting of a Saguaro cactus, about six foot in height and on the care. They explained what it would take to keep it living after the transplant. It was setting against the APS power pole and needed to be removed from that area. Roadrunner Cactus is a good company and very easy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.

Roadrunner Cactus quickly rescued us from a potentially dangerous situation - a 30' Saguaro about to fall. They responded within about 12 hours (overnight), took down and removed our beloved cactus (it needed euthanasia, sadly). Anyway, they not only took it down without damaging any other foliage, but cleaned up so well that there is no trace of the cactus or their work. And, their price was good - I've had other work done on that Saguaro that cost more and was smaller jobs. In other words, I highly recommend them!

We can not say enough good things about this company. They do what they say they're going to do, and they do it quickly and efficiently. We had two previous companies come take a look at our 30 ft saguaro that unfortunately developed a bacterial necrosis that was beyond treatment. We did not want to remove it, but rather have it topped and braced in order to hopefully allow the skeleton to remain after it died. The first company that came out complained about not being able to get any heavy equipment in our backyard. They reluctantly scheduled the job only to ghost us. The second company was a one man operation that had one foot in retirement. He braced it but did not have the ability to top the cactus. A neighbor referred us to Roadrunner Cactus so we gave them a call. I believe it was Meghan whom we spoke with and she quickly scheduled someone to come out and take a look. By this point, time was of the essence as we did not want to have any part of the saguaro take out the wall that was next to it. Josh quickly came out and assessed the situation. He scheduled the work a couple days later. He and his partner arrived on time and got right to work. I wish I could remember his helper's name as he deserves some recognition. He was on top of the ladder cutting the arms of the cactus in such a manner that allowed them to fall without taking anything else out as they dropped. Many things could have gone wrong and one of those heavy arms could have easily taken out the ladder that he was standing on, but he and Josh worked together beautifully. My wife and I watched (holding our breaths) at each cut, especially the last cut that required Josh pulling on a piece of rope attached to the top piece so that he could direct its fall while his helper had one foot on saguaro and one foot on the ladder. YIKES! All went without a hitch and they quickly cleaned up as if they were never there. They removed the previous strap the last guy used to brace the saguaro and put in a few boards just to reinforce things. Hopefully the cactus will remain standing as it starts its slow death. We're sad to see it go but are hopeful to have a standing skeleton when its all said and done. Thanks again! We have already referred you guys to a couple neighbors and will continue to do so! Roadrunner cactus did a fantastic job from beginning to end. I called and sent pictures of our cactus that was diseased and in fear of falling over. They came out within 4 days and were very professional cleaning up afterwards as well. I would highly recommend Josh and company.
First off, these guys actually responded to my request for a quote to relocate my saguaro. When I emailed them with questions or further information, they responded quickly and clearly. We set a date and time and they arrived exactly when it was arranged. Saguaro move went very well, even with a few access challenges. Replanting is perfect and they cleaned up everything. We had a saguaro planted many, many years ago and it ended up too close to the house.And in fact, started blocking access into the garage.It was also very unhealthy because the root system couldn't branch out because of the house. we called Josh at Roadrunner Cactus to see if it could be moved, And he said because it was so unhealthy, It would never survive and we were forced to have it removed.They did an absolutely remarkable job in less than a 1/2 hour. And can recommend them as top saguaro experts.They put a tarp down and left no mess. all of it was all cleaned up before they left.

We had a 42 year old cactus that needed to be removed due to disease. We called Roadrunner Cactus and pictures were sent to them that night of the different views of the cactus. Joshua called us right away to say he would fit us in the next day to get the cactus removed since the pictures showed the cactus leaning toward the house. They called us in advance to let us know when they would be showing up. They were on time and started right in on the removal of the cactus. If it has to do with a Saguaro, call Roadrunner. I had a very large saguaro in my front yard. I basically know nothing about them but was getting a little concerned over changes I was noting (in addition to one of the arms that fell off). Sent detailed pics over to Meagan for Josh to review. He and his co-worker came out a couple of days later and removed the saguaro as there were definite rotting issues. They did a great job and there was no damage to the rest of my landscaping. Highly recommend! We had a very large saguaro in front of our home that was extremely close to the house. More recently, we discovered a crack in its base and it starting to lean very slightly towards the driveway. We wanted to get someone out to assess it's condition. I contacted a couple of cactus companies and Josh was the only one to call and go over his assessment from pictures that I sent. He recommended a complete removal due to the condition of the cactus and close proximity to our home. He was competitively priced and scheduled us quickly. They removed the cactus in approximately 2 hours and even placed a small palm tree in the same spot for us. We were very pleased with everything.

We moved into our house 17 years ago with a beautiful saguaro in the front yard. We absolutely loved this cactus which grew taller than our two-story home. After all of the monsoon rains this year our cactus started leaning (very top-heavy with a small base) it had become a liability 🙁 We made many phone calls to cactus experts and getting advice to straighten it or to remove it and sadly everyone’s opinion was it needed to be removed. After a recent dust storm the Saguaro even tilted more which verified our decision. The price from Josh and Meghan from Roadrunner cactus was fair and they were able to Squeeze us in the next day. A delightful experience in removing a 3-4K pound, 37ft saguaro that lived on the edge of the golf course and became waterlogged with arm falling off. Roadrunner came within the week and removed the ole fella. Josh and Mario (King of ladder climbing to awesome heights) cleaned up the site once the saguaro was down to where you would not know it had ever been there. I am extremely pleased with their work quality and their respectful behavior.
Roadrunner Cactus removed the giant saguaro on our residential property a couple days ago. We opted for removal at this time as a safety precaution; it was apparent that the likelihood of this heavy, tall cactus falling upon our house during monsoon storms was too much for us to tolerate any longer. This company was a joy to work with. They took out a couple barrel cacti that were in the way of the maneuvers on our lot; they tugged down our saguaro (a couple stories high) using a tractor with a front-end loader. Then the saguaro was chain-sawed into pieces and loaded into their truck. An 8 - 9 feet tall saguaro (yet without arms) was planted on our lot in the general vicinity of the giant one that was removed. Wooden braces for it were added to keep in place for six months. The two barrel cacti were replanted in congenial spots. The front yard now looks picturesque once again. Josh and Mario worked remarkably efficiently together, making the whole operation seem easier than it really was. I write this review as a testimony to our gratitude for their professionalism and expertise. They were friendly, too!
I had a saguaro in poor condition that was precariously located near the swimming pool. From the initial communication to service completion, Roadrunner Cactus provided outstanding service at a very reasonable rate. Meagan is exceptionally well-organized, friendly and ensures prompt, informative communication in providing estimates and scheduling services. On the day of removal, Josh and his team arrived right on time as scheduled. They were conscientious in meticulously removing the saguaro to ensure that no spines were left on the ground or had fallen into the swimming pool. Josh also provided advice to help save some of the other cacti that were suffering from sunburn. Roadrunner Cactus did excellent work!
Roadrunner Cactus gave me a very competitive price for removal of my huge saguaro that was leaning against my house. The workers arrived on time, and were efficient and careful throughout the time they were here. They effectively removed the saguaro, which was in a very tight space, and were very fast in getting it done. They cleaned up every bit of the remaining shreds from the saw, including washing down the side of the house and block wall. They were friendly and courteous throughout. I highly recommend them.

We recently renovated our front yard in the Phoenix area and had a very good experience with Roadrunner Cactus. We wanted to create a cactus garden and my spouse and I both love Saguaro cactus and we needed one for our garden. I contacted Roadrunner Cactus and several other competitors. Roadrunner had the best looking Saguaros, best prices and excellent customer service. Megan shared pictures and information about several Saguaros that Roadrunner had available. We were looking for something 9-10’ tall and healthy. We made our choice and Megan contacted Josh to arrange delivery. As I recall it only took about 5 days from selection to delivery. On delivery day Megan contacted us to say Josh was on his way and we could hear excitement in her voice. Josh had picked up our Saguaro and it had developed a small nubbin since the last time he had seen it about three months prior. OMG we’re going to get an arm maybe 10-15 years earlier than we expected! We were already excited our Saguaro was coming but this was icing on the cake. The truck they have for delivering the Saguaro is cool and they must have some bucks invested in it as it’s a custom rig. Anyway, it looks impressive to me since I’m an Oregon snowbird and I’ve not seen a truck like this before. Josh and crew did a masterful job of transplanting our Saguaro and it is an impressive feature of our new cactus garden. They spent a good amount of time insuring our Saguaro was perfectly vertical and it looks great. For the first six months to a year our Saguaro will be braced with 2x4’s for stability. Josh also provided excellent care instructions. I’ll be scheduling Josh to come and check on our new Saguaro monthly when we’re in Oregon during the summer months to insure it stays healthy as it redevelops it’s root system. We are very happy customers!

During a recent monsoon rain with wind we lost our 22 foot saguaro in our front yard. I contacted Roadrunnner Cactus and they could not have been more helpful. Meagan and Josh had us send pictures of the down saguaro to determine if it was diseased which impacts where to plant a new saguaro. Not only did they provide us with an amazing cactus they also helped finding the right place in the front yard for placing it. And, on top of that, they moved several other plants and rocks to give the front yard just the right look. They weren't good at what they do. They were outstanding. I can not endorse them enough. I have found Roadrunner Cactus to be extremely valuable to our own home and our homeowners association. We starting working with Roadrunner in May of 2020. We purchased two Saguaro's from Roadrunner, 20ft, 5 arms, and 12 ft spear. They are very professional, thorough and walked us through the process. We had a 25 foot saguaro cactus with 4 arms to move about 100 feet over on the same lot. Meagan in the office was very responsive and got me a quote the same day. Josh answered some questions I had before coming out to move our cactus. Josh and crew arrived right on time. As they prepared to move the cactus they noticed it was diseased at the base, something not visible until they dug out the soil. I really appreciated that Josh told me this before moving my cactus. My whole experience with Roadrunner Cactus was excellent from the first phone call to the crew leaving my site.
Getting an estimate was super easy and fast. They were out to my house within 4 days to remove a Saguaro Cactus 20+ feet tall. It had a few arms of over a 6ft span. Josh and his crew came out, assessed the best way to bring down the cactus to avoid damage to ours and our neighbors house. It couldn’t have been smoother! Sawed up, picked up, cleaned up and gone! Called 3 different companies to have my Saguaro removed. I ended up going with this company and I am very pleased. Due to lack of rain this year, the s Saguaro had started to die. There were arms falling off of the cactus. With how big it is it could’ve done damage to my home instead it just fell on the sidewalk leading up to the house. There were two men that came in the morning and had this thing down in no time. I was very pleased with how they cleaned up the yard and filled the hole it looks great now. I would recommend this company for any removal thank you again.

We had a 19-foot saguaro that had outgrown our front yard. Roadrunners came and not only removed the saguaro but took the time to move some plants and then replanted them after the saguaro was moved. Their professionalism, promptness was amazing. I highly recommend them!
